  • Wet Room Shower Tray 900 x 1600 x 20 mm Quadra Offset FastFlow Dallmer

    £312.78 £521.30

The 900 mm x 1600 mm shower base is 20 mm thick and is designed to be tiled over, providing level access into the shower without a step up. The shower base is produced from XPS foam and re-enforced on both sides with a fibreglass mesh and coated with a flexible cement. This surface is ready to tile onto. It's lightweight and flexible enough to absorb movement within the structural floor.

The shower base has a machined slope cut into it, providing a 4 way fall from each corner to the drain. The drain is offset from the centre of the tray, creating a shower zone to one end of the tray. While leaving the other end is more of a walkway or entrance to the shower. This allows for the entrance to still have a gradual slope for water to flow back toward the drain.

The XPS foam has great acoustic properties and therefore is an excellent choice for showers here in the UK, when you can generally hear everything that's going on upstairs! It can be easily trimmed if necessary, say around pipes or other obstacles, or if you are fitting a shower that is not quite the size of the tray. The height of the drain is 10mm, however this can be extended to 17mm using the extension provided.

Wet Room KIt & Shower Tray FAQs:

What Are Shower Trays In Wet Rooms?

Wet room shower trays are an important part of ensuring your wet room is both practical and stylish. Wetroomstop is the leading provider of high quality shower trays in the UK, so you can be sure you're getting the best possible product for your wet room.

A wet room shower tray is a pre-formed base that is installed in a wet room to create a waterproof surface. This is then tiled over to create a watertight seal and create the wet room look. Wet room shower trays come in a variety of sizes and shapes to suit any wet room, so you can be sure to find one that will fit your space perfectly.

Can You Put A Traditional Shower Tray In A Wet Room?

Yes, but it's not recommended. Wet room shower trays are specially designed to create a safe and efficient drainage system for your wet room. Traditional shower trays are often smaller and less reliable when dealing with large amounts of water from a wider surface area.

How Does a Wet Room Shower Tray Work?

A wet room shower tray is a special kind of shower tray that is designed to be used in a wet room. These types of bathrooms don't have any enclosed spaces, and the entire room is waterproofed. That means the entire room is technically the shower area, creating a comfortable, spacious area.

Wet room shower trays are designed to catch water and protect your property from damp and related damage.

How To Choose The Right Wet Room Shower Tray

If you're looking for a new shower tray, then you may be wondering if a wet room shower tray is the right choice for you. In this article, we'll take a look at what wet room shower trays are, how they work and what to consider when choosing one.

Wet room shower trays are designed to create a watertight seal around the edges of your shower, preventing water from leaking out onto the floor. They're usually made from a material that is resistant to mould and mildew, such as PVC or acrylic, and have a textured surface to help prevent slipping.

Are There Different Kinds of Wet Room Shower Trays?

Here in the UK, there are two main types of wet room shower tray, including:

·        The Level Access Shower Tray - As the name suggests, this type of wet room shower tray is designed to be installed at the same level as the rest of your bathroom floor. This makes them ideal for homes that are being adapted for disabled access, as there is no step up into the shower. Level access shower trays are also a good choice if you're looking for a wet room that has a minimalist look.

·       The Raised Shower Tray - A raised shower tray is designed to be installed slightly higher than the rest of your bathroom floor, typically by around 50mm. This helps to create a barrier between the wet and dry areas of your bathroom, and also makes it easier to clean as there is less chance of water splashing onto the floor.

What Are The Benefits of A Wet Room Shower Tray?

There are several benefits to installing a wet room shower tray, including:

·        Improved hygiene: By preventing water from leaking out onto the floor, wet room shower trays help to create a more hygienic environment. This is especially important in homes with young children or elderly residents, as it reduces the risk of slips and falls.

·       Ease of cleaning: Wet room shower trays are usually made from a smooth, non-porous material that is easy to clean and maintain. This helps to keep your wet room looking clean and tidy, and also reduces the amount of time you'll need to spend cleaning it.

·         Aesthetics: Wet room shower trays are available in a wide range of styles and finishes, so you can easily find one that fits in with the rest of your bathroom. From minimalist level access trays to more ornate raised trays, there's sure to be a wet room shower tray to suit your taste.

If you're thinking about installing a wet room in your home, then a wet room shower tray is an essential component. Not only will it help to create a more hygienic environment, but it will also make your wet room easier to clean and maintain. When choosing a wet room
