A friend recently said to me that it's now after having a wetroom installed that they realise how much they needed it and they are not going back to a shower tray of any kind!
Easy cleaning
No more nooks and crannies to clean. No horrible places where the old tray meets the floor and walls. No dis-colouration which you can't scrub off. Simply one flat surface you can easily clean.
Safety
Do you know how many people fall whilst stepping up or down into a shower tray. I can tell you its a lot, never mind stubbing you big toe ;)
Wetrooms are also called walk-in showers or level access showers. The whole bathroom including the shower area is on the same level. The older we get. As we get older, stepping up and out of a shower tray can be dangerous. We therefore have to think about this, our parents and grandparents are more at risk. It's like retiring to a bungalow. No more stairs to walk up.
A wet bathroom floor can be a major hazard especially when stepping down from a shower tray. Some wetrooms can be specially adapted for wheel chair access too! The wow factor. Wetrooms definitely give the wow factor. Clean lines, flat access. They simply look amazing and revolutionise taking a shower.
